The symbol of Český ráj is the ruin of this former Trosky Castle, now in ruins, which was built on two high peaks of volcanic origin. The Tower buildings on Baba and Panna rocks, built in the 14th century, represent a rare technical feat for the time. The castle fell into disrepair in the 17th century, its ruins now being under conservation order.
