The Marian column was raised in the square as a monument to the plaque victims from 1714. It was built about 50 years later, in 1765 by Baroque sculptor Josef Bergman. On the top of the column there is a statue The Mother of God and the column is surrounded by figures of St. Wenceslas, St. Adalbert, St. Procopius and St. Florian.
