Ruins of Castle Příběnice (Táborsko)

The ruins of Gothic castle Příběnice are situated on a steep hill above a curve of the River Lužnice, between towns Tábor and Bechyně. The castle was built in the 13th century by the family of Vítkovci. It was destroyed during the Hussite wars and today you can find the remains of the castle hidden among trees. Not far away there was another castle called Příběničky.
You can get to the castle by red tourist path along the left bank of the Lužnice River from Tábor or from Bechyně.
