Old Schoolhouse - Polná (Českomoravská vrchovina)

An exposition called Stará polenská škola (Old Polna Schoolhouse) is situated just outside the Museum Vysočiny. The exposition takes visitors into the period when school attendance was made compulsory by law. The complete furnishings of a grade 4 classroom were reconstructed from the preserved inventory of a school from 1866. In addition to historic furniture, the classroom contains the writing utensils and teaching aids of that time. There also is a historic natural science cabinet and the teacher's apartment.
