The river rises at the Polish side of the Jizera Mountains. Jizera is passable form April to the end of Mai in the upper and middle stream. The difficulty is marked ZW ? WW I. The upper stream is recommended for advanced water sportsmen; the down river is suitable also for the recreation water sportsmen.

The voyage downstream the river depends on the chosen stages.
The rivers stream is 157, 2 km long.
