Synagogue in Dobříš (Okolí Prahy - jih)

The synagogue in Dobříš was built in 1904 in Neo-Romanesque style. Its author was the architect A. Richter. The synagogue faces north, which is unique in our country. After 1945 the main tower was removed and the synagogue was adapted into a community center. A cemetery of unknown age was enlarged twice in 1781 and 1863. The oldest tombstone is from 1650. After 1985 the cemetery was markedly diminished but it still contains valuable Baroque tombstones.
