The historic center of the town can be entered in a stylish way through the Lower, or the Upper Gate, which were parts of the city walls. Citizen's houses in the square retained some of their Gothic and Renaissance elements even after later adaptations. The Renaissance chateau, adapted in the Baroque style, houses artistic exhibits of local museum. The power of religion is represented by the Decanal Church of St. Bartholomew, the Gothic Church of St. Vitus, the Neo-Gothic Church of the Holy Cross and the Baroque Chapel of the Virgin Mary Bolestná.
