National nature Monument Kozákov near Turnov (Český ráj)

Geologically remarkable area with famous mineralogical location Votrubcův lom (quarry); the bedrock of the hill Kozákov consists of igneous rock with sporadic presence of gemstones (agate, jasper, chalcedony, smokestone, amethyst); extrusions of sandstone cliffs (such as Drábovna) with pseudo-karstic caves (e.g. archaeological sites Babí and Kudrčánova pec) rise over the terrain of western slopes.
