The lookout tower on the top of Černá Hora was built from the second last supporting pillar of the old cableway, which was abandoned. It has been open to public since 1998 and offers one of the most beautiful views of Krkonoše Mountains. The new cableway to Černá hora was built in 1981.
It is located cca.100 m from the upper station of existent cable railway direction to ski lift Anděl. In the height of 21 m there is a beautiful view of the area and the Giant Mountains. It is open from 10 a.m. on holidays, sometimes on the weekend. At the outlook tower there is situated a panoramic camera - every morning at 7.30 ? 8.00 a.m. on TV (programme ČT2) notifies of weather, weather conditions and news at the summit of Černá hora (Black Mountain).
