The tower was built in 1586?92 under the supervision of master builder Francesco Garof de Bissone, whose tombstone was found in the tower recess. The 51 m high seven-storey tower is a specimen of Northern Italian architecture. The tower is decorated with typical graffito ashlars. In the tower there is also preserved the oldest bell of St. Vavřinec from 1483. The tower is open in summer and if you climb 150 spiral steps to the gallery, you can have a wonderful view of the town and its surroundings.
