On the right bank of the River Lužnice there is an interesting natural formation called the Garnet Rock. There are found many purple garnets of the almadine type and some of them are as large as hazelnuts. The Garnet Rock is now much smaller than it used to be because in the past people used the stone from this rock for the construction of the surrounding houses and streets.
